Pyrography Woodburning Books and Magazines

Books & magazines devoted to the art of Pyrography & Woodburning

Below are some of the top selling Pyrography books (in addition to mine, of course!) that I have found on the market. In association with Amazon I can now offer them to you at the low prices only Amazon offer.

When I started burning there were only a couple of decent instructional books on the market. Most were just patterns with very limited instruction. As a result I learned by trial and error. When I started teaching everyone asked me to write a book for people who couldn't take my classes. Well I did that back in 2002 when I published my first book but it was for more advanced burners who wanted to do portraits from photographs. To this day it is still the only pyrography book of it's kind. I published my second book Pyrography 101 in 2003 and to this date both are still best sellers including my other two books.

I'm glad to finally see that Fox Chapel Publishing has recognized the need for books on the subject.  They have now  published three instructional books on pyrography. Perhaps watching all my books fly off the shelves was enough of an indicator that we needed more books on the subject and if they publish them, people will buy them. Guess what, they did and yes, people are buying Pyrography books!

I want to make buying books easy and give you the opportunity to save more money too.

So now you can shop with us and save even more money!

Amazon.com offers an extensive selection and great prices, including books both new and used.  Free shipping is usually available with a $25 purchase, and other discounts are often available.

The Complete Pyrography
By Stephen Poole

Every area of the craft comes with clear instructions: where to find designs, what tools and equipment to make or buy, and how to construct your own wire-point instruments, as well as how to produce lifelike textures, master the art of shading techniques, select the proper color, enhance wood-turned objects, and protect finishes. A photo gallery of winning projects is accompanied by tips on marketing and selling your work, as well as a list of the most popular projects to sell.  This was the only good instructional book on the market when I first learned wood burning.  Even though he uses wire nibs common in the UK it's still a great book.
