Animal and Wildlife Pyrography by Nedra Denison
Pyrography seems to be a perfect medium to do animal portraits and wildlife. The rustic, earthy tones blend so nicely and make them come alive.
These wood burning art pieces are a few of the most recent ones I have done of animal portraits and wildlife. Most of my earlier pieces were not captured by a digital camera. The dog portraits shown here were commissions requested by people who supplied me with photos of their pets. The burning done of "El Lobo" was done from a photograph provided by Wolf Haven International where Bart, the subject of my woodburning, resides in Tenino, WA.
All works shown here were done using reference photos.

Commissioned animal portraits
Prices start at $200 for a head-and-shoulders pose of a single pet. Multiple pets, full body portraits, or ones with scenic back-grounds cost extra.
A retainer of 50% is required before beginning work on your animal's portrait. You will receive updated photos of the portrait on a private page on our website so you can see the progress. If you are not happy with the results at any point you may cancel your order but retainers are not refundable.
Final payment is due upon completion. After reviewing the final piece on your webpage, final payment must be sent before the portrait is shipped to you.
Rush orders are accepted with a 50% surcharge for delivery in less than three months.
Orders can be paid by credit card through PayPal or by personal check or money order.
I work from photographs which you provide. It is preferred that you send a high resolution (300 dpi) digital image approximately 8 x 10 emailed or on a CD for Nedra to work from.
